One of Ontario's oldest towns, Ancaster was first settled in 1791 as a water powered mill town. Largely bypassed by industry in the 19th and early 20th centuries,
Ancaster remained a small farming community until after World War II. Since then, the gradual addition of housing surveys and supporting commercial entities, that
preserved most of the natural features and conservation areas, has transformed Ancaster into one of Ontario's most desirable places in which to live.

Recent upgrades in provincial highways have turned Ancaster into the crossroads for most major routes. The recent extension of the 403 from Ancaster through
Brantford now forms as efficient connection to Highway 401 and London. They just opened Lincoln Alexander Parkway which begins in Ancaster and provides high
speed access to Hamilton and the Niagara Peninsula. The Highway 6 bypass now under construction will provide quick access to Hamilton Airport and South to Lake
Erie.

Outside of rush hour, we are just 45 minutes to Toronto; and about the same now to Niagara and the U.S. border. London is currently a little over an hour away. While the GO train is just 10 minute drive down the 403.

You can walk on one of the many natural trails that wind through the many surrounding conservation areas as well as secluded sections in the middle of town. You
can shop in one of the many quaint village stores, or at one of the most modern "big box" plaza in the region. There are local sports in great new facilities; public and
separate schools; and jazz in the park on Sundays, in a update of an old tradition.

We at G. Walker realize that the home you want may not be available in the location or price level you prefer. Because of this, our sales people also do a substantial
amount of work with homes and properties in the surrounding communities of Dundas, Flamborough, Burlington, and Hamilton

Drop in to our office in the heart of the Village(just two doors from historic town hall). Let us show you the sights and sounds of life in the Village. Your new home and
